Proposal Daisakusen SP 求婚大作战 (特别篇)

Can you believe it? It's our 1st anniversary...me & my dear blog~~

Flashing back, my very first entry was on the popular Japanese drama series:
Proposal Daisakusen

After 1 year, Dreamfliers-Entertainment once again proudly presents:
Proposal Daisakusen Special~~

Iwase Ken (岩濑健) is in love with his childhood friend Yoshida Rei (吉田礼), but he never clearly expresses his feelings to her. Until the day she was to marry Tada Tetsuya（多田哲也), Ken felt deep regrets and wished for a chance to make things right. Then, he met a gentleman in the church, who was actually a pixie that has the power to control time. During the presentation of the photo slide show, he gave Ken the chance to return to the moment before each photo was taken. Ken will have the time to make changes in the past until that particular photo is shoot. And so begins Ken's journey to race against time and fight for his love. But sadly, no matter how hard he tried, things still did not turn out the way he wanted. He realized that if he doesn't change in the present, everything is meaningless. So, he decided to confess his love to Rei, during the wedding ceremony, when he was invited to make a speech as the bride's best friend.

Last year, we left Rei chasing after Ken, after he confessed his feelings on her wedding ceremony. Proposal Daisakusen SP continues from the last scene of the drama. Although it did not occur to Ken that he had actually made a difference, his effort each time of his return had actually accumulated bit by bit in Rei's heart. Running breathlessly in her wedding gown, Rei only had one thing in mind, that is to grasp hold of her true love no matter what. Finally, both of them are sure of each other's feeling and is gonna live happily ever after...

Nah...not so soon, this is only the prelude to more challenges ahead...

One year later, the gang gathered at Hawaii for Tsuru & Eri's wedding. Yup, Tsuru & Eri are getting married, in HAWAII! While everyone was excited waiting at the church for the ceremony to start, Ken, Rei & Mikio found Tsuru pacing up and down anxiously outside the bride's room. To their surprise, Eri was not in the room, they found Socrates instead, disguising as the bride.

Poor Tsuru had to call the wedding off, and apologized to all the guests together with Eri's parents. Watching at the side, Ken & Rei felt sorry for Tsuru. At the same time, they were aware that they themselves had caused the same trouble for Tada san & Rei's parents one year ago, when Rei fled the wedding. Ken & Rei had never dare to ask nor talk about how the situation was resolved back then. Deep inside their heart, they felt guilty and sorry. In the mean time, Eri had flown back to Japan and phoned Rei to pour her heart out.

Looking at the photo slide show made by Mikio for Tsuru's wedding, Ken remarked that one week ago Tsuru was still smiling so happily during their gathering, and how he wished he could just go back then and warn Tsuru on what is going to happen. To his surprise, Mr. Pixie appeared, saying that he had less business in Japan and had migrated to Hawaii for a change.

Mr. Pixie: Ask! And it shall be given to you!
Ken: Hallelujah Chance! Nooo~~~~

Mr. Pixie granted Ken's wish and sent him back one week before the wedding.

Ken met up with Tada san and even knelt down to seek for his forgiveness. The extremely kind & gentle Tada san did not give Ken a punch for snatching his bride. Instead, he told Ken that he never wanted Ken to apologize. It was his own decision to let go of Rei, and that Ken should not be indecisive, as there is no turning back.

It's really a great thing seeing the pitiful Tada san walking out of the gloom from the incident of his run-away-bride. And the best support he got was actually from his childhood friend Shibata Sachiko (柴田幸子), who is also the only person that calls him by his nickname -Tetsu. She dragged him to sing Karaoke, and dropped by his office with tit-bits when she was free. Although both of them are still not officially a couple, due to the blur border line between childhood friends and lovers, the chances of them being together is just a matter of time. Feel much better for Tada san, thanks to the scriptwriter for this arrangement ~~

Ken & Mikio tailed after Tsuru and discovered that he was busy all day long meeting up with different ladies, leaving all the wedding preparations to Eri alone. This had caused Eri to feel insecure and misunderstood Tsuru for being disloyal. Eri was frustrated with herself for not trusting Tsuru, and ended up running away from the wedding. Actually the truth behind Tsuru's odd behavior is real touching, but it backfires when Tsuru kept it as a secret to surprise Eri on their wedding day. Ken being clear of the situation, secretly helped out and saved his friend from the wedding disaster.

The next obstacle Ken & Rei need to overcome is Rei's parents. Can't imagine this Ken was such a coward that he acted like an ostrich for the past one year, not daring to face Rei's parents! After helping Tsuru, he finally took the initiative to visit Rei's parents and apologized. He promised them that his feelings for Rei will never change and he will do his best to make Rei happy. Sternly, Rei's dad replied that Rei is their most precious daughter and Ken's promise is not an easy task. Rei's dad wanted Ken to remember his promise for the rest of his life.

As usual, Ken was brought back to the present when the photo he used to time-travel back was taken. And the beautiful wedding begins in Hawaii!

The entertainment show is somehow quite scary...

So romantic~~

Ken: Rei, I will make you happy, I promise. Even though we might quarrel in the future, or grumble at each other, and there might be times of being lazy to listen to one another, I still want you to be by my side. I will take care of you from now on. Please marry me.

Rei: Please take care of me.

Actually they had this similar dialog way back when they were just kids. Both of them were playing at the playground and Rei got injured of doing a stunt challenged by Ken. Ken felt very guilty and told Rei's mum he will take care of her for the rest of her life. Rei gave him the same reply. So cute~~

Finally, Ken proposed to Rei under the beautiful sunset on a Hawaiian beach. We have been waiting for this moment for 1 year, dude! So touching, I feel like crying.

I wonder if there will be another special, like "Attention Please" also had 2 specials: Hawaii & Sydney. Hmmm, Mr. Pixie said he will be moving to Spain...let's just wait & see.

I've been waiting for the next episode the whole weeeeek!!! I've watched the previous episodes at least twice, finished the novel, have been browsing the official websites & the Baidu forum by fans, and also watched the making & NG scenes at youtube, just because the next episode will only be aired in Taiwan on Sunday night......

Hahaha...this is sooo funny!

Fated to Love You is a new Taiwanese comedy romance just started airing on 16 March 2008. The story begins when the plain and simple Chen Xin Yi (陈欣怡), wanting to gain back the heart of her boyfriend, spent a great sum to get on the Love Cruise with him. She caught a flu on the cruise and drank some medicine, causing her to entered the wrong room due to drowsiness and some other unexpected circumstances. When she realized it, she was shocked to have a one night stand with a total stranger. At the same time, she was heart broken to discover that her boyfriend had betrayed her and was with a wealthy widow. One month later, she found herself pregnant!

The stranger, who is the father of her baby is called Ji Cun Xi (纪存希), the typical prince charming with look, wealth and talent. He was supposed to propose to his girlfriend Anna on the cruise, but she didn't show up. And he was then set up, with his drink spiked by a pair of father & son, whom he had bought over a factory from and was planning for a retrenchment. As Cun Xi is the only heir of his family, his grandma forced him to marry Xin Yi because of her baby. Will this turn out to be a disaster or the path to true love?

Joe Chen Qiao En (陈乔恩) as Chen Xin Yi ( 陈欣怡)

Chen Xin Yi is the so called "Sticky Note" girl, who is timid, soft-hearted and unable to say "no". Her "no-personality" kind of personality caused others finding her convenient to be ordered around, like a "Sticky Note": easy to be obtained when you need one and easy to be torn away after used. There is one place she feels comfortable at, which is an Orphanage where she teaches Pottery to the kids.

The cupid who taught Chen Xin Yi to go on a Love Cruise, also acted by Joe Chen herself. Very entertaining!

First saw Joe as the supporting actress in MVP Valentine (2002) as Barbie, a filthy rich young lady who loves everything in pink. She got really famous after being the main actress of Prince Turns to Frog (2005), as a tom boyish schemer. It's real fun seeing her in different characters that she successfully portrayed.

Ethan Ruan Jing Tian (阮经天) as Ji Cun Xi (纪存希)

Ji Cun Xi is a systematic and serious guy when it comes to official business. He is arrogant due to his rich background, but inside of him lives an inner-child wanting to be let loose. He is in love with a Ballerina named Anna. But when she left him to pursue her own dream, he accidentally had a child with Chen Xin Yi and was forced to marry her.

Ethan Ruan has been the supporting actor in many dramas like Green Forest, My Home (2005) and Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu (2006). Finally, now he has the opportunity to be the main actor. I think he resembles Ming Dao (the all-time partner of Joe Chen) of his thick eyebrows and a bit of Jay Chou's lip (although sandbox totally denied that). Anyway, I like seeing Ethan & Joe, good chemistry!

Bianca Bai Xin Hui (白歆惠) as Shi Anna (石安娜)
Bianca is a famous model in Taiwan.

Beautiful, brilliant, confident & elegant are a few words to describe Anna. To her, ballet comes first, then her boyfriend Ji Cun Xi. So, when she was offered the role of Odette in Swan Lake, once again she didn't show up for her date and took off to New York.

Baron Chen Chu He (陈楚河) as Dylan
Do you remember him in Kung Fu Dunk with Jay Chou?
He is also in Jay Chou's "China Porcelain" MV!

Dylan is a sharp-eye bidder in the auctions arena. His motto being : "Hold no interest in what others are pursuing, the real value lies in uncovering the undiscovered treasures." Besides loving challenges and travels, this humorous and optimistic guy spends his spare time in the Orphanage, where he was raised up by the Father at the church. Dylan becomes protective of Xin Yi because she has the same name as his long-lost sister. He wishes that her sister will also be protected somewhere out there.

The strong team of supporting characters in the drama is also one of the reasons that makes it to the top:
